| MONACO, Monaco - Defending world rally champion Sebastien Ogier of France began his title defence with a victory at the season-opening Monte Carlo rally Sunday, finishing ahead of Finlands Jari-Matti Latvala and Andreas Mikkelsen of Norway as Volkswagen swept the podium places.
